1 # diced bacon
27 oz.  Sauerkraut
12 oz. can or bottle Kiltlifter Beer

Add bacon to a large skillet heated to medium-high and cook until crisp, stirring frequently.  Strain sauerkraut and add to the pan  with the bacon.

Stir together and continue cooking for 1 minute. Add the beer, stirring  it in and reduce the heat to low. Simmer uncovered, stirring  occasionally until the beer is mostly evaporated, about 5-10 minutes.

Serve warm or cold, with bratwurst if desired.
